Computer application project 2: exterior rendering 25%

Inspiration : Inspired by the colonial houses in Mauritius.
These colonial houses are on the verge of extinction. So i try to analyse on found in Curepipe,Mauritius and  a 3d model is done using Autodesk 3d max.

Initially the plan of the colonial house was drawn on autocad and ii was then imported to 3d max

Using autodesk 3d max the model of the colonial house is beig constructed

The wall of the building is extruded. This is done by drawing on part of the facade using box of height 3000mm and then the side of box is selected and extruded

This is done for all wall present in the house and the function border- cap was usually used to closed the box

After having extruded all the wall, header and footer for window and door needs to included. This was done by drawn boxes while the endpoint snap is switched on

After having majority of the main structure of the building completed , window was designed seperaretely using isolation keyfunction and then incoorporate with the building

After this the base and the ceiling of the house were constructed by using plane.Multiples segment of planes was deleted and adjusted to finally shaped the building.

Then the roof of the building was constructed using box and pyramids With the help of editable poly so points of the rectangles were being moved in order to provide the gentle slope of the roof.Same things were done for the pyramid in order to shape the roof of the colonial house.

Next, the staircase which was the most time consuming and challenging part of the colonial house was contructed.Initially only one platform was created. To complete the staircase, the plaform was copy and moved below each other. Furthermore to create the step, specific planes from the platform is selected and extruded.

Since colonial house is built on a rise platform of approximately 0.6m , the base is selected and extrudes to provide the raised platform.

Finally this is how the colonial houses look like in its major structure.

Now, detailed architectural element of the colonial house need to constructed. Firstly the door is constructed using the framework of the window which was previously constructed.

Decorative elements surrounding the door frame was constructed

DEtailing of the window are adjusted.

Suitable Baluster was downloaded from 3d archive and it was scaled in order to fix the context.

Suitable materials was being researched and downloaded and then each material was allocated to the wall and roof of the colonial house. For the roof of the building blue coluored claytiles was used. while for the wall a grey matt colour was allocated to it.

Materials was then allocated to the door and windows .For instance a white wooden texture were allocated to the door frame while for the glass panel crystal clear glass was used.

The doors and windows were then placed in the building which has been isolated to prevent misconception

This is how the colonial house finally look with all the desired materials allocated to it.

Now the most challenging part remains. The surronding of the colonial house. For the landscape of the house , a plane was created and with the aid of soft selection, the different level and height of the landscape was created.

I decided to incooporate a lake in its landscpe to provide a good reflection effect so using soft selection, segment of planes was moved down to create the lake

Trees was added to the landscape and material was allocated to the landscape.Omnilight was included.and and environment was chosen
Camera were placed eye level views and it was being moved and played with inorder to have a suitable views.
Rendering was then done and 2 eye level views of the colonial houses need to be submitted
First view..... focusing on the detail of building's exterior and the fountain in front of the building
Second view..... focusing on the environment of the building, reflecton in the lake, trees shadows and and the sunsire background...

Now interior rendering of colonial is awaiting me!!!!!!
